Overwhelming Response to PDTC’s Web-Based Training Program on ‘Interpreting the Indian FCRA Amendment Act, 2020 for Nonprofits’

The PDTC has been quick to adapt to the new pandemic-induced challenges, going online with the popular training course on Sustainable Community-Driven Development, and introducing a new online training on interpreting the FCRA Amendment Act, 2020, last November, which received an overwhelming response from 40 Indian nonprofits.

We witnessed enthusiastic participation from 66 development professionals from 40 NGOs for 2 training sessions on the FCRA Amendment Act. The participants were delighted to attend the webinars on topics that were the need of the hour.

“Well organized program at the right time by a right resource person,” said Tsering Damdhul. a development practitioner from Himachal Pradesh, while Nillababu Oinam from Manipur said,” Appreciate Bala Vikasa for organizing need-of-the-hour training programs.”

The CDD training sessions witnessed participation from 18 development practitioners from 10 NGOs. “CDD training provides a comprehensive package of development tools for us,” said Mr Phul Raj Sharma, from Shanti nonprofit in Nepal.

“We have a rare opportunity for NGOs to learn from home which otherwise would have not been possible in these pandemic times,” said Mr Hawi Beadesa, from Bright Star Relief and Development, a nonprofit in Ethiopia.
